Let capability grow within established limits.
Production changes, AI-enabled workflows, and consequential actions across digital infrastructure.
Discuss a workflow ↗
Production access can be valid while authority for a release remains unresolved. This illustrative workflow follows the proposed production result.
Govern production releases and infrastructure changes before they take effect.
The workflow is illustrative. Each organization defines its own authority, evidence requirements, exceptions, and operating conditions.
Production software release before deployment or customer distribution
A proposed release may affect staging, production, customer environments, authentication, logging, update infrastructure, release infrastructure, privileged functions, or cross-customer systems.
Authority Control point. Before a consequential production release takes effect, after existing release and security checks have supplied relevant context.
Workflow reference: NIST’s Secure Software Development Framework and configuration-management guidance. Applicable revisions and requirements are established for the selected environment.
Sources and evidence →Illustrative workflow adapted from public regulatory, standards, acquisition, and operational sources. It identifies a recognizable operating sequence and a possible Authority Control point; compliance obligations and sector requirements are determined separately.
Exceptions remain with the organization’s existing review process. The public determination states remain Permit, Defer, and Block.
